Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actor from the United States. Her most well-known character was in the role of Skyler on AMC's drama Breaking Bad. She won Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. As well as playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward, she has appeared in The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and discovered her love for acting when she was in Preparatory School. In the late 1970s, the family moved to Ohio. She attended Northwestern University to study theatre and also spent time at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her professional career in Chicago-area theatres for a couple of years. Then she moved to TV and film. Anna had her first big part in the role of Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in 1992. Anna continued to be guest stars on a number of television movies and shows like Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue up to the end of 1990's, when she was cast in a recurring role as Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character which she played for two years during Deadwood's 2nd season. Skyler was the character she played as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad. Sully and Deadwood was also an integral part of her acting career. Gunn also starred in David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. Gunn acted as Numbered Days, which is a four-part audio show that premiered set in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered on the relationships of Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their strained bond and their eventual break up echoes final years in Walter White's life.
